DESCRIPTION
The Commissary is the first project of the redevelopment of Fort Monmouth, called Baseline. It is 53,700 square feet and is undergoing major restoration. It is currently the home of Birdsmouth Beer, Baseline Social and soon-to-come MGT Foods.
LOCATION
Baseline is located at Fort Monmouth, an infill military installation in the highly desirable Two Rivers section of Eastern Monmouth County that closed down in 2011. The Fort played a key role in research and development of the Army’s high-tech communications.
Fort Monmouth is located within three townships in New Jersey’s Eastern Monmouth County. Monmouth County is the northernmost county along the Jersey Shoreline. Its waterways include the Two Rivers, the Navesink and the Shrewsbury, that flow into the Raritan Bay, Lower New York Bay and the Atlantic Ocean.
